Axel Brandes is currently working at the Department of Regional Health Research and the Department of Cardiology, University of Southern Denmark and Esbjerg Hospital - University Hospital of Southern Denmark. His current research interest is in atrial fibrillation (AF), especially detection of AF by long-term monitoring in different populations, outcomes in different populations of AF patients, risk factors for AF, anticoagulant treatment of AF, and integrated care for AF patients, and VTE.
