The Improving Heart Function initiative will present three sessions on heart failure at EuroPCR 2025, from 20 May to 23 May. Discover the topics and learning objectives of these case-based sessions.
Decompensated heart failure: indication and management of mechanical circulatory support
Session objectives:
- To appraise the state-of-the-art treatment strategies of life-threatening acute heart failure
- To understand the indication and management of mechanical circulatory support (e.g. young myocarditis)
- To review contemporary management of heart failure patients after mechanical circulatory support removal
Join us on Tuesday, 20 May – 15:00-16:00 – Room 252B
Refractory heart failure: combining oral therapy and device is key
Session objectives:
- To recognise heart failure refractory to medical therapy that requires treatment escalation
- To appraise the contemporary indications of cardiovascular interventions
- To understand how to achieve optimal synergy between oral therapy and devices
Join us on Wednesday, 21 May – 11:15-12:15 – Room 243
Innovative approaches to refractory heart failure: devices and therapies to the rescue
Session objectives:
- To recognise heart failure refractory to medical therapy that requires treatment escalation
- To appraise innovative future options of cardiovascular interventions
- To understand how optimal synergy between oral therapy and interventions can be further improved
Join us on Friday, 23 May – 10:15-11:15 – Room 242AB
